Annual Booster Club Clay Shoot Upcoming

Greetings Notre Dame Family

We are once again having our annual Spring Sporting Clays fundraiser, which will be held Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at the Northwest Texas Field and Stream Gun Club. If you are not familiar with Sporting Clays, it often described as “golf with a shotgun”.  It is a blast for all skill levels. The entry includes the shoot, lunch, raffle and prizes. If you are interested in putting a team together or inviting others to do so, I have attached a copy of the entry form.   Also if you know of any businesses that would like to sponsor a station, we sell station sponsorships for $100. The entry form will also be posted on the Notre Dame website and on the Northwest Texas Field and Stream website.

In conjunction with the shoot, we will be raffling a Beretta A300 Camo 12 gauge shotgun. Beretta is well known for making one of the higher quality auto-loading shotguns on the market.  The A300 retails for $900. As we have done every year, all shooters will receive one free raffle ticket at sign-in and will be encouraged to purchase additional tickets.

We are selling the raffle tickets in advance of the shoot.  We will be sending a book of 25 tickets to all of our athlete’s parents.  We are asking all families to try to sell at least one book.  The tickets are priced at $5 or 5 for $20. The drawing will be held at the shoot. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.  We believe you will find this a very easy sell.  On a personal note, in the past most people I asked bought a whole book of 25 for $100 and no one bought less than five.  So, if you would like additional tickets, please give me a call. Sometime before April 8th, we ask that you to turn your raffle ticket money in at the high school front desk.  Sara will also have additional tickets there if you need them.

We would also like to make it clear that we are asking the parents to sell these tickets and not the kids.   It should also be noted that although we strongly encourage you to participate, it is not mandatory.

The needs of the Athletic Booster Club seem to grow every year.  As our teams see more success, our budget demands follow suit. We are now in a situation where we have equipment in all sports that are in need of replacing.  We are setting our raffle ticket sales goal at $5000. This will help us take care of some of the immediate needs of our Athletic Department.

As always, I want you to feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions.  Please help make this a successful fundraiser for our ND athletes.

May God continue to bless each and every one of us.
