Dear Notre Dame Community,
We would like to take a moment to recognize the amazing efforts of our teaching staff, parents, and students as we close this unprecedented 2019 – 2020 school year. Throughout this 4th Quarter, we’ve witnessed our school community unite in an effort to best educate our students regardless of the circumstances. We can’t stress how appreciative we are for the hard work and determination of our school community!
Now that Quarter 4 has concluded, teachers are currently cleaning their classrooms and organizing students’ personal belongings collected from desks and lockers. It is our intention to distribute these items to our students’ families while also collecting any technology or textbook materials that were loaned out.
On Wednesday, June 10th, we will host a “Textbook Collection & Distribution Day.” This distribution event will operate much like a drive-thru, and it will run very similarly to the “Textbook Pick-Up” back in March. We ask that all 3K – 12th grade parents come to Notre Dame to pick up their child’s personal items and drop off any materials that were loaned out. These loaned out materials include the school’s Chromebooks as well as students’ textbooks that were distributed back in March.
All 3K – 5th grade parents should drive alongside the front of the school on York Street, and all 6th – 12th grade parents should drive alongside the circle drive to pick up these necessary materials. Please pull up and wait for a staff member to bring your child’s personal belongings to your vehicle. We will also collect your students’ loaned materials at this time. We ask that all parents and students remain in their cars to allow for proper social distancing. Scheduled drive-thru times are 7:30 am – 10:30 am and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm to best accommodate families.
As always, school administration continues to make informed decisions based on the guidance and recommendations from the Catholic Center and health authorities. We are unable to provide any information regarding summer sports practices and camps at this time, but information is forthcoming. That being said, we are pleased to announce that our 5th & 8th Grade Transition Mass will take place during our first All-School Mass next school year. Also, please join us in congratulating the Senior Class of 2020 who will graduate this weekend and make our school so proud!
We are looking forward to welcoming back students for the 2020 – 2021 school year, and we would like to share our school calendar with you.
